Dear HSA Families,

As the principal of Harmony School of Advancement-Houston campus. On behalf of the staff at Harmony School of Advancement-Houston, I am happy to welcome you to the 2022-23 school year! We are all excited to have students back in our classrooms filling them with energy and enthusiasm for learning. Whatever we do, our students must know we are standing with them every step of the way.  I am here, as a leader and a father of six children. We will succeed as one unified family, leaving no one behind. For our children’s sake, we must succeed. We strive to challenge each student to grow in his/her academic abilities. At HSA, we have great teachers who spend hours planning and creating classroom activities to engage our students in learning. The exciting addition of new staff, new families, and new programs will make our school better.

I have been in education for over 18 years.  My experiences in education have prepared me well for this new role at HSA. In the Harmony system, I have served as a teacher, Department Chair, Assistant Principal, and Head Counselor. I hold a master’s degree in Educational Leadership from the University of Texas at Tyler and a doctoral degree in the same field from the American College of Education. I believe teamwork is the ultimate way a school can be successful in reaching the goal of helping a student attain his or her full potential.

As the HSA leadership team and staff, we believe that all of us – the school and the community – must work together in an extended family environment to ensure success for all our students.  We believe it is everyone’s responsibility to empower children with the creative, intellectual, and decision-making skills necessary for them to become academically, socially, physically, and emotionally successful and responsible. With that in mind, you are invited to be an active participant at the HSA campus. Whether you are a classroom volunteer, a member of the PTO, a special event participant, or a member of one of our school communities, you are encouraged to be involved!

I am honored to serve as the principal of the HSA campus. It is truly a privilege to serve such a remarkable district’s students, parents, staff, and community. My goal is to ensure that all children are healthy, happy, and safe, so they may learn as much as they possible. I will work tirelessly to ensure all students have the best possible experience while at HSA. Supporting our kids to do well at school, and in their lives, is the center of our work.  I am honored to have the opportunity to serve this community and will work hard to gain your trust and respect as your principal.

It is my desire to keep you informed of all that is taking place at school.  Up-to-date and additional information will be sent to you periodically.  I am a visible principal who believes that the best part of my job is visiting the students in all areas of the school and meeting parents periodically. I believe that keeping the school atmosphere positive is the key to success as well as keeping the lines of communication open among staff, students, and parents. I will conduct the Coffee with the Principal event on the first Thursday of every other month from 8:30 – 9:30 am. Please  R.S.V.P by clicking this link if you will be able to make it.

I am looking forward to a productive partnership with you to ensure our children can achieve their highest potential. We recognize that in order to be successful in school, our children need support from both the home and school. We know a strong partnership with you will make a great difference in your child’s education. As partners, we share the responsibility for our children’s success and want you to know that we will do our very best to carry out our responsibilities.
